Electrical Test Engineer - Permanent - Greater Boston

Are you an experienced Electrical Test Engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and bringing innovative engineering solutions from concept to reality?

̽»¨ºÏ¼¯ is working alongside an innovative technology company who are seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to join its engineering team. This position will focus on the development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of complex electrical and automation systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support projects from development through deployment, helping ensure products and systems meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.

Skills & Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, test engineering, or related fields
• Experience developing and executing electrical test procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control system drawings
• Familiarity with industrial control systems and electrical panels up to 480V
• Understanding of UL508A and electrical safety principles
• Experience using electrical design tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or SOLIDWORKS Electrical
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative engineering environment
• Experience with industrial automation systems
• Familiarity with PLCs and HMI platforms
• Experience with motors, drives, sensors, and motion control systems
• Exposure to automated test equipment and data acquisition systems
• Experience within manufacturing, automation, robotics, semiconductor, or advanced technology environments
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
• Experience supporting both electrical design and testing activities

The Electrical Test Engineer's responsibilities will be:

• Develop and execute electrical test plans and validation activities
• Design and build test fixtures and test systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, control, and automation systems
• Support system integration, debugging, and performance verification
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control architectures
• Assist with hardware development, testing, and design verification
• Document test results, engineering changes, and technical findings
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to resolve technical issues
• Support customer and project teams with technical problem-solving as needed
• Contribute to quality, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives

Compensation:

• $110,000 to $140,000 per annum.
