Lead complex brownfield construction and deliver a critical NAPI project in a live GMP environment.

̽»¨ºÏ¼¯ is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of a New Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (NAPI) project within an existing pharmaceutical facility. This hands-on, site-based role requires expertise in brownfield construction within GMP-regulated environments. The position is contract-based and demands immediate availability to support aggressive project timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all onsite construction activities for the NAPI project.
• Coordinate construction works within an operational pharmaceutical facility.
• Supervise contractors across civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, piping, and clean utility scopes.
• Ensure construction aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Oversee logistics, access, and sequencing in a live GMP environment.
• Resolve constructability and execution issues in real time.
• Drive progress through mechanical completion, punch list closure, and system handover.
• Execute construction activities while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
• Enforce GMP requirements related to cleanliness, contamination control, segregation, and access.
• Ensure adherence to site permit systems, including hot works, LOTO, confined space, and working at height.
• Act as the onsite safety lead, ensuring compliance with EHS policies and legal requirements.
• Lead safety walks, toolbox talks, and daily coordination meetings.
• Track site progress against short-term schedules and manage contractor performance.
• Support field quality checks, redline drawings, turnover documentation, and construction dossiers.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Engineering leads, EHS, Quality, and Validation teams.
• Provide regular status updates, risk identification, and mitigation recommendations.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree or trade qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong background in construction management within pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience delivering brownfield projects in live GMP facilities.
• Familiarity with API or NAPI projects is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary contractors on fast-paced capital projects.
• Solid understanding of GMP construction requirements and EHS leadership.
• Strong onsite leadership, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
• Ability to make sound decisions in dynamic environments.
